On September 30, we travel to scenic Fulton, IL to visit the amazing property of Dean Huisingh. Dean and co-conspirators have been establishing prairies and raising many species that you have little or no knowledge about. Great opportunity to learn from one of the best native plant aficionados that we know about! We are planning on arriving at Dean’s at 4 PM. If you are willing to drive, let us know. Unless you are driving there directly, let’s meet at Riverbend Commons Landing parking area prior to 3 PM so we can get the carpoolers lined up and head out promptly at 3 PM. TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 3 PM – depart for Dean’s (17170 Elston Rd, Fulton, IL 61252) 4 PM – Welcome & Tour of Native Plant Beds 5:30 PM – Ride the wagons to the prairies 6:30 PM – Head to Manny’s Too in Fulton for dinner
