Join us for our September monthly program to hear an awesome presentation about invasive species. Speaker Taylor Schneider (she/her), will share all about invasive species in our area, how they can cause damage, and why we should talk about invasive species more!

Taylor Schneider, the Horticulture and Environmental Educator for the City of Davenport Parks & Rec Department, is a Quad Cities native who’s working to bring more natives back to the local landscape! After graduating from Loyola University with a Bachelors in Environmental Science: Conservation and Restoration Ecology, Taylor worked in the field as a Restoration Technician in the Chicagoland area and as an Eco-Ambassador at Illinois Beach State Park—where she got up close and personal with a variety of native and invasive species. From then on, she has been working on ways to help her community understand the importance of local biodiversity and supporting the species that grew up here too.
