Our friends with the QC Chapter of the Illinois Native Plant Society will be visiting a Clinton County, IA prairie remnant, which was discovered by their vice president, Bob Bryant. The site has been designated an Iowa State Preserve and represents one of the best examples of dry limestone prairie in all of Iowa.
Please meet at the Manikowski Prarie, near Goose Lake, Iowa. Exact meeting point is: (41.9786714, -90.3784979) https://maps.app.goo.gl/fXWaV682c4eEfbry9?g_st=ic
After the hike, we will visit the nearby town of Goose Lake for food and drink. Please be sure to bring plenty of water and sun protection, and RSVP if you plan to attend.
